Prop Star 2018 finalists revealed

eric’s social media campaign for Rhino, Prop Star, has reached its final stage with a field of 200 props being narrowed to just three going to a public vote.

The year-long search to crown the grassroots prop who goes above and beyond is nearing its conclusion as the Prop Star’s expert panel of judges announced a shortlist of three from the hundreds that were nominated across social media.

Legendary British & Irish Lion and England prop Jason Leonard chaired a panel consisting of the most capped English prop of all-time Rochelle Clark, Welsh rugby hero Adam Jones, and England, Lions and Harlequin icon Joe Marler. The voting was tight with so many contenders but the panel eventually agreed on the following, which eric then filmed to make their campaign videos as the final decision goes to a public vote on rhino.direct.

The winner will be announced at half-time during the men’s game at The Varsity Match between Oxford University and Cambridge University on Thursday 6th December, 2018 at Twickenham.

To further celebrate the role of props, as part of the Prop Star campaign, a Prop Star Parade has also been arranged for The Varsity Match in which all nominated props have been invited to take part in a lap of honour on the hallowed turf of Twickenham.
